Where are you based and where do you travel to?

My studio is based in Kemble nr Cirencester. This is where I hold my trials. For your wedding day I’m happy to travel wherever you want me to but travel costs may apply. Any trip that takes longer than two hours the morning of a wedding will require an overnight stay. Please get in touch to get a quote.
Where is my trial held and is it necessary to have one?
I hold all my trials in my studio in Kemble, Cirencester I would always be reluctant to do someone’s wedding hair and makeup without a trial. This is our opportunity to work together and perfect the look you want, iron out any issues and explore whether the style you want is really achievable with your hair type, etc. One person’s idea of natural is different to someone else’s, so by good communication we should then be able to work out what sort of look you are after. You don’t want to have to go through this on your wedding day, particularly if something needs to be corrected; you want your makeup to be clean and polished which isn’t possible if I’ve had to alter things on the day. This is what a trial is for. I normally allow three hours for a trial and these need to be booked mid week during daylight hours. The less light the more makeup you need so doing the trial in daylight hours is important.
I have a large wedding party, is this something you can accommodate?
Definitely! I have a great team of girls I’ve worked with for many years who can help look after your bridesmaids the morning of your wedding. You will be given a schedule to send to your bridesmaids beforehand so everyone knows where they need to be and at what time. As well as som helpful info on what is required the morning of he wedding. Everyone needs to arrive with their hair clean and dry for styling unless there is an alternative arrangement. This is extremely important as we don’t have time to dry hair before commencing styling. The cost of additional stylists is dependent on your needs and whether the timing the morning of the wedding is tight.
What are your qualifications and how long have you been a hair and makeup artist?
I trained at the prestigious London College of Fashion from 1991 to 1993. I was awarded BTEC Higher National Diploma in Theatre Studies: Specialist Makeup. I am also a qualified Microblader. I continue my studies even today, to keep my skills up to date and modern, by being a member of the Kristina Gasperas Academy. I’ve worked in TV, Film and the Commericial Industries for many years but have now made my bridal work my main focus for the last twelve years. I have been an expert in my field for the last thirty years.
How long will you need to do our hair and makeup on the wedding morning?
I normally allow an hour and a half per person and longer for the bride for hair and makeup. However this will be dependent on the styles you go for. For example Hollywood waves are extremely time consuming and could affect the timing on the day meaning I then require an assistant. To give you a guide you are looking at about five hours work for two people to do six adults.
What are your prices and do you travel abroad?
Click on the button below for my basic pricing. If you require me to stay for touch ups or come back for a change for your evening reception then just put that on your quote form so we can discuss it in further detail. I would love to travel abroad to look after you and your bridal party. Please fill out the contact form for your personal quote. Travel, luggage allowance, accommodation and some meals would not be included in those prices.
What makes you different from other bridal hair and makeup artists?
I think the fact that I have been doing this job for such a long time should give you peace of mind that I really do know what I’m doing and have worked with every hair and skin type imaginable. I’m organized but warm so your wedding morning will run like clock work but be relaxed at the same time. I’m also acutely aware of my surroundings and what is going on, so can pick up on situations where someone might need help or reassurance very quickly.
Im not that keen on the standard bridal hair and makeup, can you design something unique for me?
Nothing makes me happier than a bride who has strong and individual ideas of how they want to look. I love working closely with them to achieve that. Pinterest is a gold mine for searching out new and modern ideas. Client’s like this, stretch me and excite me even after doing this job for so long. This is part of the reason I joined the Kristina Gasperas Academy so I’m surrounded by other brilliant professionals who also inspire me.
I loved how my makeup looked on my wedding day, can you help me recreate that?
Yes I can just book in for a makeup lesson at my studio in Gloucestershire. I tailor make all my makeup lessons to the individual, so all you need to do is get in touch and have a chat with me on what you would like to cover and I’ll put it together for you. All my clients get an extensive set of notes after their lessons to refer to and also continued advice on product purchase and application afterwards. You can find pricing for this service here.
If I would like a hair and makeup change for the evening reception can you accommodate that?
Absolutely!! Just mention it when you first get in touch and I’ll quote accordingly.
"Before we are on another continent, I just wanted to say a quick thank you for all your amazing work!! I'm not good at compliments but I got so so so many and my bridesmaids and mum looked absolutely stunning. You made the whole morning so relaxed and we all really enjoyed it."
