Bridal hair tips and trends for 2018

At Elle Au Naturel we have twenty years experience in the bridal industry, particularly with wedding hair in Berkshire and the surrounding areas. We like to keep our skills up to date and make sure we are aware of up and coming trends within the wedding hair industry. Last year at New York Bridal Week the trend for braids, did not seem to be diminishing and they are going to be as popular as ever for 2018. Thick braids, thin braids, and the introduction of loose flowing pony tails, done up with a simple ribbon are just lovely for bridal hair!!

Boho beach waves are still going to be popular with some brides going for the “undone” look and others neater and swept back off the face. Low neat buns with the same request for softness around the face are also going to be popular with puff veils complimenting this simple style. These styles will give an air of “vintage”, but still be up there as a modern wedding day hairstyle.

To get your hair “wedding day ready” do have it trimmed regularly.  With the trend for “messy” styles still in, its essential that the ends are neat and not split otherwise you will get birdnest rather than boho!!  Don’t have a drastic cut until you’ve had your wedding hair trial as losing length or having too many layers can have a massive affect on how easy it will be to do an updo, particularly neat buns.
